The Story . The Why.

The Heart Behind the Events.

Hi, I’m Jessica—the planner, problem-solver, and creative force behind To Be Eventful. For me, event planning has always been about more than logistics and décor—it’s about connection. It’s about creating moments where people feel seen, celebrated, and completely at ease.

Why I Do What I Do.

Because the best gatherings—like the best lives—don’t happen by accident.
They’re built with intention, care, and a deep belief that people matter.

How It All Started.

My journey began back in college when I organized my first fundraiser for Restore Her in Bryan, Texas. That experience lit a spark—showing me how a well-planned event can inspire generosity, community, and change. After that, I dove deeper into the event world and later pursued my passion for food and hospitality at Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, graduating in 2016.

From there, I worked with local chefs and event companies around Austin, sharpening my eye for detail and learning how to bring a creative vision to life from every angle—planning, styling, catering, and coordination. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting community nonprofits I deeply believe in, including Safe Families for Children – Austin, where I still serve today as a partner and leadership council member.

A New Chapter.

After earning my bachelor’s degree in business last year, I decided to step out on my own and launch To Be Eventful. It’s been the best decision of my life. Now, I get to combine years of hospitality experience with my love for people, storytelling, and beautiful execution—helping couples, nonprofits, and companies create events that feel natural, warm, and memorable.

Beyond the Events.

While events are my heartbeat, my work extends far beyond the celebration. At the core of everything I do is a love for people—meeting them where they are and helping create spaces that feel supportive, thoughtful, and full of intention.

Through Auntie ATX, that shows up in hands-on, everyday ways—caring for families through babysitting and overnight newborn support, bringing creativity and joy through face painting, and offering handmade goods that add a personal touch to the moments people are creating at home and in their communities.

Through Build Life, I work more deeply with individuals, teaching practical life skills that build stability, confidence, and a sense of direction. It’s trauma-informed, relational, and focused on real, sustainable growth.

And through In the Works Strategy, I come alongside small business owners to help them clarify their vision, strengthen their marketing, and build systems that actually support the life they’re trying to create.

No matter the setting—an event, a home, a classroom, or a strategy call—I’m drawn to helping people bring structure, creativity, and purpose to what matters most.
