Nonprofit Event Planning & Strategy in Austin, TX

Nonprofit events designed to create impact beyond the room.

Event-to-Impact helps nonprofits define what success actually looks like, design the event around that outcome, and build the systems to turn attendees into ongoing supporters.

Did the event move your organization forward?

You raised money. You filled the room. People had a great time.

But what happened next?

Did you meet new potential donors?
Did you capture their information?
Did volunteers stay involved?
Did sponsors deepen their relationship?
Did attendees hear from you again?

A successful nonprofit event isn't necessarily the one that raises the most money that night. It's the one designed around a defined organizational outcome — with the systems in place to turn the people in the room into relationships afterward.

We define success before we plan the event.

Follow-Up Plan

Your event might be designed to generate revenue, acquire new donors, grow recurring giving, steward existing supporters, recruit volunteers, build community awareness, develop sponsors, or accomplish another measurable organizational goal.

We start there — then determine whether the event, audience, budget, team, and systems are actually positioned to achieve it.

The event doesn't start at the door — or end there.

BELONG

Give people a reason to keep showing up, supporting the mission, and being part of the work.

Event-to-Impact looks beyond the event itself to make sure the systems around it can turn attendees into ongoing supporters.

Depending on your organization's needs, that can include evaluating, improving, or building event and campaign webpages, registration and donation flows, data capture, CRM organization, audience segmentation, automations, and post-event follow-up.

Because if we're measuring success beyond event night, the systems responsible for that follow-up have to be part of the strategy.

Not every nonprofit needs a full-service event planner.

Your level of support should reflect your team's capacity, budget, experience, and the complexity of the outcome you're trying to achieve.

What if the event doesn't reach the goal?

For qualifying Coach, Build With, and Build For engagements, we'll establish a written Success Definition and measurement period before planning begins.

Your organization agrees to specific readiness requirements and responsibilities. We agree to stand behind the strategy.

If the agreed outcome isn't reached within the measurement period, our work doesn't simply stop.

QUALIFY → MEASURE → RECOVER

When the Recovery Guarantee activates, support continues for an additional 30 days at no additional professional fee, at the same level of involvement as your original engagement.

Here’s what that could look like.

An illustrative example of how Event-to-Impact measures success beyond event night.

A nonprofit comes to us with a clear goal:

“We need our annual event to raise $50,000.”

That matters. But before we start planning, we look at what the organization actually needs the event to accomplish.

In this case, the readiness process uncovers a second challenge: the organization relies heavily on the same existing donors and needs to grow its supporter base.

So instead of defining success as simply “raise $50,000 at the event,” we build a fuller Success Definition.

Before the event, we define success as:

$50K
Event-related revenue

60 Day Follow Up

90 New Relationships

75
Qualified new supporters

15
First-time donors

Then event night happens.

The event raises $42,000.

Measured against the original $50,000 fundraising goal, it looks like the event missed the mark.

But something else happened that night:

90 qualified new supporters entered the organization’s community.

And because their information was intentionally captured and organized, the relationship didn't end when they walked out the door.

This is where Event-to-Impact changes the measurement.

Those new supporters are segmented. Follow-up communications go out. Staff have clear outreach responsibilities. People who connected with the mission have opportunities to give, volunteer, attend again, or deepen their involvement.

Over the next 60 days, that follow-up generates another $9,000 in attributable giving.

So the final result looks very different:

60 DAYS
Measurement period

Turned into $51k + 18 new donors

By the end of the measurement period, the organization hasn't just surpassed its revenue goal.

It has also gained 18 first-time donors and 90 new relationships it can continue building.

That's the difference between measuring an event and measuring its impact.

And if the agreed Success Definition hadn't been reached by day 60? For a qualifying engagement, that's when the 30-Day Recovery Guarantee would begin.

This is an illustrative example created to demonstrate the Event-to-Impact model and is not a representation of actual client results.

$42k Event Night

Have more than one event a year?

Event-to-Impact can also support an annual event portfolio.

Instead of treating each fundraiser, donor dinner, volunteer event, community gathering, or conference as an isolated project, we can look at how your events work together across the year — who each event is for, what organizational outcome it supports, and how attendees move from one point of engagement to the next.

Before we plan the event, let's figure out what it needs to do.

Maybe you already have the event, date, and fundraising goal.

Maybe you just know you need to raise money, reach new people, engage your supporters, or create an experience that moves your mission forward.

Either is a good place to start.

We'll talk through what you're trying to accomplish, what your organization already has in place, and where the event fits into the bigger picture.

Let’s start with a conversation.

Tell me a little about your organization, your event (if you have one in mind), and what you're hoping it can accomplish. From there, we can figure out what kind of support actually makes sense.
